Highly recommended! Ash brought my dull brassy hair back to life! It was the first time I’ve EVER had my hair dyed professionally at almost 50. Ash made me feel comfortable right away and I left feeling like family! The job of doing what I wanted to do with my hair was complex to say the least and she didn’t bat an eyelash even with my hair being very long! She gave me exactly what I wanted. She kept my natural color intact while blending in the grays, it was as important to her to preserve my natural color as it was to me. This hair color will also be low maintenance which I also requested. She was able to achieve a little bit of bright pop while also keeping it neutral and soft. All my friends were completely in love with the results! While I was there I saw 4 other ladies getting their hair colored by her crew and let me tell ya they ALL were very happy and looked great! One lady said “I’m Glad I trusted you” to her colorist and I feel the same way!

First off, the salon itself is gorgeous. They are all so welcoming and the space is very friendly. I had the pleasure of having Callie Dankof as my stylist. I would 10/10 recommend to everyone! She took the time to listen to what I wanted and executed flawlessly. I definitely am a regular of hers now!

I have been going here since moving to Va in 2018. I have seen a few different stylists there and each one has done an amazing job with my hair. I am extremely picky with my hair but this place has done exactly what I wanted each time. I see Amara now consistently and she is the absolute kindest soul. She listens to what you are wanting and just gives an overall calming energy. If you are anxious, get overstimulated, or just want to relax while getting your hair done she provides quiet appointments so conversations are to a minimum. I appreciate that a lot because sometimes I just don't want to talk much. The salon itself is absolutely beautiful and the vibes will make you want to just hang out all day. Hands down absolutely love this place!

Highly, highly recommend XO Hair Lab for any creative or traditional color hair experience! I’ve worked with several stylists over the past few years- all with great outcomes. More recently I’ve been regularly seeing Amara for blonding services- each time I sit down for a service I know I’ve got an artistic partner taking care of me! 10/10 would recommend!

Guess I’m hopping on the Amara bandwagon and, like everyone else here has said already, she’s amazing! Haven’t had my hair dyed in almost 2 years and been even longer since it was last trimmed. My mom has been the only cosmetologist to touch my hair in all of my 26 years of life but I’m so happy I found Amara to take up the mantle since my mom is back in California. Amara let me bother her constantly in DMs and listened to everything that I said. Loved the finished product and have already gotten so many compliments. Color is beautiful and my hair feels healthier than it has in a while! 🧡 Everyone that works here is so sweet and friendly too. Already have my next two appointments booked and can’t wait! 💖💖💖

I have been seeing Tim at XO for about a year. We've had so much fun doing something new every time I come in for a service. I highly recommend seeing him for anything from a color to a cut....or maybe just a shampoo in their AMAZING sinks (heaven, seriously). I love coming in with a vague idea of what I want to do, and letting him take creative direction. Great conversation, skilled artist, and friend! Do yourself a favor and book! <3

Hands down the best salon I have ever been to!! Everybody was so nice and accommodating. I got my hair done w/ Krista and she killed it. She was so easy to talk to and I felt so comfortable in her chair! I hardly ever leave reviews, but XO Hair Lab deserves all the hype and more. I will definitely be returning.

Lauren knows what the heck she is doing with curly hair!! She gave me the best curly haircut I have ever had and I’ve had quite a few! I’m so happy I found her and highly recommend. The actual salon is beautiful and full of energy. Everyone was super friendly. I’m looking forward to going back for my next appointment.

I love it there at XO Hair Lab. Everyone there is amazing and so nice. Catherine is my go to girl when it comes to my hair! She knows my curly hair better than anyone else. It was hard finding someone I could trust with my hair and I am glad I found her! Will follow her to the ends of the earth haha

I absolutely love this place! They are super easy to schedule with, friendly, and walk you through anything you need to know or would like to know. I’ve gotten my hair done by Amara and she does not disappoint! The first time I got my hair done by her was a haircut, she is super friendly and such a lovely person. It’s been several months after I got my haircut and I still love it and how it’s grown out. She also is so amazing with color service!!! I showed her two or three references and she brought my dream hair to life. I’ve gotten so so so so many compliments about my hair and it’s all thanks to her. If you’re looking for a great environment with dedicated and passionate stylists this is the place for you. I highly recommend giving this place a go.
